Barrick’s procurement community is comprised of professionals that integrate with and support all aspects of the Company’s business at all levels of the organization.

The role of the Supply Chain team at Barrick is to coordinate to sourcing, contracting, purchasing and logistics functions for the entire organization. Barrick’s procurement professionals take a total-cost-of-ownership (TCO) approach that considers the usage and value-adding aspects of a product or service in addition to the price.

This TCO approach and the strategic decisions that it necessitates requires full integration with other functional units, such as operations, maintenance, technical services, information technology, accounting/finance, environmental and health and safety.
