Yilgarn South
Yilgarn South is comprised of three operations: Darlot, Granny Smith, and Lawlers.
Darlot
The Darlot gold mine is located on the Yandal Greenstone Belt, approximately 680 kilometers northeast of Perth, Western Australia.
The Darlot gold mine is a trackless underground mine. Ore is treated at the conventional carbon-in-leach on-site mill.
In 2007, Darlot produced 120,000 ounces of gold at total cash costs of $424 per ounce1. Proven and probable mineral reserves as of December 31, 2007 are estimated at 655,000 ounces of gold2.

Granny Smith
The Granny Smith open-pit gold mine is located 950 kilometers northeast of Perth and 23 kilometres south of Laverton in the state of Western Australia.
In 2007, underground mining began to ramp up. Underground ore will be blended with the existing run-of-mine stockpiles to sustain full milling capacity.
The processing plant consists of a two-stage fresh ore crushing circuit including closed circuit screening and a single-stage oxide ore crushing circuit, followed by a semi-autogenous grinding mill in closed circuit with a cone crusher, a ball mill, an agitation leaching and carbon-in-pulp circuit, tailings retreatment plant, a gold recovery plant with carbon reactivation, and a tailing thickener.
Production from Granny Smith totaled 175,000 ounces of gold at total cash costs of $508 per ounce for the 2007 year1. Proven and probable mineral reserves as of December 31, 2007 are estimated at 458,000 ounces of gold2.

Lawlers
The Lawlers mine is an underground operation located on the Norseman/Wiluna Greenstone Belt, approximately 660 kilometers northeast of Perth, Western Australia.
Ore is treated at the on-site mill, which processes both sulphide and oxide ores.
Lawlers produced 115,000 ounces of gold during 2007 at total cash costs of $441 per ounce1. Proven and probable mineral reserves as of December 31, 2007 are estimated at 407,000 ounces of gold2.
